Chicago Physical Theater is a group of wildly creative Physical Theater artists who create and produce original works of performance art. Dean Evans is a professional performing artist working in theater and television. He was recently rank number 33 of Chicago's top 50 "players" of 2014 by New City magazine. He has studied Mime and Physical Theater at The School for Mime Theater, The Ohio State University, and with masters Marcel Marceau, Phillipe Gualier, Stephen Niedzialkowsky, and Avner Eisenberg. He is currently a member of iO house team Winter Formal and the theater collective The Ruffians. He is a former ensemble member of the Neo-Futurists and has performed with 500 Clown, Kapoot Clown Theater, Redmoon, Chicago Children's Theater, Second City, The Goodman, the Actor's Gymnasium and as a solo artist. Dean is also an active improvisor and has studied improv at Second City, IO (Improv Olympic), and the Annoyance. He performs as the intity who goes by Honey Buns. Molly Plunk is a profesional performance artist and entertainer in Chicago. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2007 with a concentration in acting. She has studied Mime at the The School for Mime Theater and Aerial Arts at the Aloft school in Chicago. She has studied Clown with Avner Eisenberg and Phillipe Gualier. Molly has performed with many local theater companies including the Neo-Futurists, the Gift, Redmoon, Collaboraction, and Silent Theater Company and has appeared in the work of award winning film maker Usama Alshaibi. She recently starred in the Ruffian production of Burning Bluebeard as the Fairy Queen.
Alex Suha's training began at the Second City and the Improv Olympic theaters in 1999. It continued at the University of Iowa, and then at the London International School of Performing Arts. He is a founding company member of Ralph Hall's Iowa Tent Theatre Project. He was recently seen at the Ravinia festival in the role of Dufus in T. Danial's production of the new mime staging for the American premier of Kurt Weil's lost work, Magical Night with James Conlon and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. His last creation was Do Not Push, a duet with Kevin Chick, at the Metropolis Performing Arts Center. He has devised with Anisa George and Penn Dixie's The Seer, which sails to Edinburgh this summer, with Sascha Blocker and Olio Productions of Portland, with Up and Down Theatre of Santa Fe, and with Joanna Wright and Sky Candy of Austin, Tx. A teacher of acting, clown, directing and devising, he has held class at the Second City, Columbia College, Aloft Circus Arts, and in his own workshops in many cities throughout the USA and Europe.
